Recently Nika Guliashvili succeeded as SURIN in “Pikovaya Dama” and FASOLT in”Das Rheingold” in Nizza and as ZUNIGA at the Sanxay Festival and OROE in Rossini’s “Semiramide” in Toulon.

Future engagements bring him to the Grand Opéra Avignon as PIMEN in “Boris Godunov” and as CARELLI in “Guru”. Moreover he makes his debut at the Bregenz Festival 2025 as the HIGH PRIEST in “Oedipus Rex”.

Nika Guliashvili is a very much sought after guest singer in numerous European theatres and festivals. His last appearances include SURIN (Pikovaya Dama) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu,the Opéra Toulon and the Grand Avignon Opéra, BONZO at the Opéra National du Rhin Strasbourg or ZUNIGA at the Sanxay Festival, BORIS in “Lady Macbeth of Mzensk” at the Finnish National Opera Helsinki, just to mention a few.

After getting his degree in Law, the Georgian Bass who was born in Tbilisi and is based in France, graduated at the Tbilisi Conservatory. He immediately became the Company Principal at the Tbilisi Opera, performing MONTERONE, a MONK in Verdi’s “Don Carlo”, MASETTO, the OLD BOHEMIAN in Rachmaninov’s “Aleko”, or IL RE in “Aida” and MASETTO in “Don Giovanni”.

From 2007 to 2009 he completed his studies at the CNIPAL in Marseille, launching his career internationally. Nika sang MEPHISTO in “Faust” by Gounod in Tokyo, BANCO in “Macbeth” at the Bergen Opera, SPARAFUCILE in Tbilisi, ANGELOTTI in Bombay or RAIMONDO in “Lucia di Lammermoor” at the Metz Opera. Besides, he was the COMMENDATORE at the Opéra de Tours and at the Opéra de Reims and TIMUR at the Bergen Opera.In 2013, Nika made his debut at the Opéra-Comique Paris and at the Opéra Montpellier as SAINT CORENTIN in “Le Roi d’Ys” by Lalo.

Other highlights include his DON BASILIO in” the Barber of Seville”, MONTERONE at the Opera in San Sebastian, Spain and a solo recital “Melodies for the Tsar” at the Limoges Opera.
He sang BONZO in “Madama Butterfly” at the Opéra de Reims and Toulon, where he returned as MONTERONE. At the Opéra de Saint Etienne he made his debut as the SULTAN in “Aladdin” by N. Rota., being reinvited here as FAFNER in “Siegfried”. At the Opéra de Nice and at the Madeleine in Paris he sang Verdi's Requiem with the Orchester de la Garde Républicaine.

As MEPHISTO in “Gounod“ he was invited to the Opera House Wroclaw in Poland and as THE BAILLI in “Werther “he returned to Tbilisi. Nika was SARASTRO at San Sebastian and the HIGH PRIEST in “Nabucco” at the Opéra de Nice or BONZO at the Nancy Opera.
