After a riveting performance of Aida last Sunday, the 31st the Opera Festival in the Antique Theatre of Plovdiv ended with big fireworks.
More then 15 000 visitors have seen the performances, more than ever before in the history of the festival.
On the programme were a gala concert in honour of Boris Christoff, a ballet evening, Carmina Burana, a Wagner gala concert entitled ‚Valkyrei Ride‘, Don Carlo, La Traviata and finally Aida.
For the first time, not only Bulgarian artists but also international guests performed at the festival.

With great excitement the press wrote on the high level of the representations and the tunique atmosphere in the amphitheatre.
In brief, the festival intendant Nina Naidenova and festival director Ivan Anguélov will announce the programme for the 2015 Opera Festival. |
