  BIOGRAPHY  

 

In 2026 the Korean tenor Dongyong Noh, hailed by the press for his noble Verdi voice, sings RODRIGO in Verdi’s „Don Carlos“ at the Korea National Opera.

Before, he succeeded at the Sicilia Classica Festival as TONIO in „I Pagliacci“, at the Teatro Antico Taormina as ALFIO in „Cavalleria Rusticana” and as AMONASRO in „Aida“, at the Korea National Opera as KURWENAL in „Tristan und Isolde“, as MONFORTE in „I Vespri Siciliani“ and as NABUCCO. He was ALFIO in „Cavalleria Rusticana and TONIO in „I Pagliacci“ at the Grand Opéra d’ Avignon and in Reims, Massy, Vichy.

Moreover, he sang Gabriel Faure’s REQUIEM at the An der Opéra de Massy.

The baritone’s repertoire includes the Verdi repertoire which roles such as GERMONT in „La Traviata“ (performed at the Korea Art Center), MACBETH (performed in France), IL CONTE DI LUNA in „Il Trovatore“, IAGO in „Otello“ or RENATO in „un ballo in maschera“. But also such roles as the r CONTE in „Le Nozze di Figaro“, SCARPIA in „Tosca“, ESCAMILLO in „Carmen“, ENRICO in „Lucia di Lammermoor“ or BELCORE in „L’elisir d’amore“.

Dongyong Noh was awarded The Prize of Honour at the International Léopold Ballan Competition and was Prize Winner at the Robert Presley Memorial.
