In December 2025 the Verdi baritone Dongyong Noh portrays KURWENAL in “Tristan und Isolde”with the Korea National Opera under the musical direction of Jaap Van Zweden.
In 2024, he succeeded as MONFORTE in “I Vespri Siciliani” at the Korea National Opera and in 2023 he made a much acclaimed debut as NABUCCO at this very house.
Other recent engagements include ALFIO in “Cavalleria Rusticana” and TONIO in “I Pagliacci” at the Korea National Opera. Both these two roles, he also sings this summer at the Saint-Céré Opéra festival in France, the Opera Grand Avignon, in Vichy, Clermont-Ferrand, Massy and at the Capri Opera Festival and the Scillia Opera Festival in Italy.
Moreover, he was AMONASRO in “Aida” at the Teatro Antico Taormina and since his debut as RIGOLETTO at the Verdi Opera Festival at the Teatro Verdi in Italy he is invited to sing in the whole of Europe.
The South Korean born artist’s repertoire also contains such roles as MARCELLO, RIGOLETTO, MACBETH, MONFORTE (I Vespri Siciliani), JAGO (Otello), GERMONT(La Traviata), and since recently RODRIGO in “la Traviata”, CONTE DI LUNA in “II Trovatore” and SCARPIA in “Tosca” and Scarpia (Tosca).
Dongyong Noh is also a much sought-after soloist in concerts and Liederabende.
The artist is Prize Winner of numerous Singing Competition. In 2024, he won the Korea National Opera Award as “Rookie of the year” at the New Voice Competition. He won the International Competition Clermont-Ferrand in France. Other Prizes include the First Prize at the Vivonne International Competition in France, the First Prize at the International Competition Ismaele Voltolini Mantova in Italy, the First Prize at the Leopold Bellan International Competition in France, the Grandi Voci International Competition in Austria, the First Prize & Public Prize at the Ciudad de Lleida balaguer International Competition in Spain and the First Prize at the Piero Cappuccilli Festival in Italy.
