Teatro Cervantes Malaga – Madama Butterfly – PINKERTON |
Pavone and Gandía: a duo hard to match… with two protagonists - Antonio Gandía und Claudia Pavone – who turned this evening into one of these moments, worth remembering.
If there is one thing that shone brightly in this staging, it was the soloist cast and more specifically the role of Pinkerton played by the tenor Antonio Gandía (it is unjustifiable that a musician of this calibre is not sought after on the lyric stages. |

Pavone and Gandía present a ‘Butterfly’ of the highest level ….an outstanding cast, in which his fabulous protagonists, the tenor Antonio Gandía as Pinkerton and Cio-Cio, touched by inspiration and musical taste were truly brilliant...
Of the soloist section the two protagonists, Antonio Gandía and Claudia Pavone, clearly illuminated from their entrance on stage and marking an ascending line from the love duet onto their face-to-face encounter in the finale of the opera are particularly worth highlighting. Both singers marked the path of balance between acting and singing, which the rest of the cast followed. An authentic musical exercise was Pavone's ‘Un bel dí vedremo’ or the solid ‘Addio, fiorito asil’ defended by Gandía (it is inconceivable that this tenor is not in demand on the big stages). |

Pavone and Gandía: The Unbeatable Couple, that revoluzionizes stage! The magic that came from the stage was reflected not only in the stage direction, but also in the performance of the soloists, with the palpable connection between Antonio Gandía as Pinkerton and Claudia Pavone in the role of Cio Cio San standing out. Both shone with performances that resonated in the hearts of the audience, presenting a vocal and acting portray of such depth that many felt transported to the fragility of love that characterises the work. |

Teatro Villamarta in Jerez - La Traviata - ALFREDO |
Tenor Antonio Gandia in his role as Alfredo Germont has enough fantasy to maintain a steady vocal line. This was particularly effective in his legato, especially in the intense phrasing in the secund act. Equally in the last act, the Alicante-born singer’s versatile vocal abilities came into their own. |

The tenor Antoni Gandia knew how to sing on the same level. A marvelous co-star, who perfectly matched with Puértolas. His interventions perfectly suited the choir and the other characters. Bravo für this performance. |

Sinfonieorchester RTVE – Concert |
The tenor Antonio Gandía, who possesses a very technical lyric-light voice but at the same time very warm and generous in the treble, as well as an enviable centre, quality diction and who always applies a style very well adjusted to each repertoire. In the opera part, he had to deal with the very difficult aria "L'amour, l'amour...Ah lève-toi soleil" from Gounod's Romeo and Juliet. In our opinion, it is difficult to find tenors right now who can do justice to this aria, but Gandía knew how to chisel it with the ardour of a loving Romeo who could hardly be resisted by a Juliet who listened to an interpretation as effective as it was effective, based on aerial phrasing and with all the multiple overtones in place, resounding in expansiveness and projection 'alla Kraus' - not in vain was he one of his main pupils -, ending the last one in a very prolonged manner. |

Teatro La Maestranza Sevilla - El Gato Montes – RAFAEL |
Also Antonio Gandía seemed to feel comfortable in his role as „Rafael“ and compensated the rather monolithic character of his role with unquestionable dedication. The Levantine tenor’s voice had a reasonable projectio in the middle and low registers. |

The Washington Opera – Don Pasquale - ERNESTO |
Where the powerful voice of Plácido Domingo was heard so often, Alicante tenor Antonio Gandía found his recognition. At the premiere of „Don Pasquale“ , the recent Washington National Opera production with Domingo as musical director, Antonio Gandía gathered last Friday big ovations. |

Teatro Carlo Felice Genova - Rigoletto – DUCA |
Great performance of Antonio Gandia who, although he hasn’t a particularly huge voice, sings with ringing high notes. He has a a thorough phrasing and beautiful interpretical intentions, combined with a stage presence, which perfectly suits his character. |

Teatro Communale de Vincenzo - La Traviata - ALFREDO |
Antonio Gandia’s performance was excellent. As the anxious and passionate Alfredo, inspired by endless passions and doubts, the young Spanish tenor combines the beauty of his voice with taste and sensitivity in his recitation of the sung words, always thoughtfully considering the pronunciation and the perfect accents. |
