REVIEWS

Wernigeroder Schlossfestspiele - Carmen - CARMEN
Johanna Brault portrays a strong woman with fullest physical involvement and an erotic version of the Taralalala. Her mezzo voice has a solid foundation and can artfully be increased to a beautiful volume.
A.Berger, Das Opernglas Oktober 2021
Theater Plauen-Zwickau – Aida – AMNERIS
Aida’s rival Amneris... at the very beginning and at the end showed her power in her fresh, young, well focused mezzo voice. A lot of mezzos seem to have a natural erotism in their voice. Also Johanna Brault proved to have a sizzling sensuality in it.

Schlossfespiele Werningrode – Rigoletto – MADDALENA
Apart from the ravishing Gilda, it is of course Johanna Brault’s Maddalena, meeting the duke as an attractive seductress on an equal footing, that performs particularly well.
Joachim Lang Orpheus 05/2018 – Sept./Oct
Theater Zwickau - Eugen Onegin - OLGA
Johanna Brault as his bride Olga pleases with her flexibly guided mezzo soprano voice, enthusiasm and positivism.
Opernglas 6/2018 – G. Helbig
Theater Plauen/Zwickau - L’Orfeo – BOTIN/PROSPERINA
…and Johanna Brault as the messanger and as Prosperina lead brilliantly
Neue Musik Zeitung
Luisa Miller – FREDERICA
""Vocally and scenically Johanna Brault was a truely convincing Duchess Frederica. In the ensemble scenes she vocally did perfectly justice to the broken- vindictive element in love, which is essential for the role."
Opernglas
"...jult like Johanna Brault who, with her heavy, expressive mezzo voice lends substance to the duchess.”
Opernwelt
"Johanna Brault as Luise’s rival could win the audience over in every respect."
Der neue Merker
MISS JULIE
"Johanna Brault is an expert for contemporary music theatre. With her voice she truly succeeds in giving the role of Miss Julie opera real character traits in this chamber. The way she uses vocal stylistic devices and color facets to express the desperation and abysses of a tortured soul was truly fascinating and comes really close to Strindberg’s drama. “
