REVIEWS

Badische Staatstheater Karlsruhe - Cavalleria Rusticana/ I Pagliacci – TURIDDU /CANIO
"Milen Bozhkov plays both Turiddu and Canio. His tenor voice is clear, powerful, passionate and expressive. Before, I had read his voice would remind of Enrico Caruso. “Such an exaggeration!” I thought. But I was wrong. It definitively is true. Not only the aria from Pagliacci „Recitar! Mentre preso dal delirio“ brings you to your knees because of its beauty. But this one in partucular. The other spectators thought so too. There was tumultuous jubilation, which I joined this time. His acting talent is remarkable, he impressively performed both roles."

One can feel his energy as he adjusts the dramatic content of the text and the situation between his love for Rusalka and his desire for the foreign princess, with just interactions."
