Stefan Heibach graduated in singing at the „Hanns Eisler“ Music Academy with bei KS. Reiner Goldberg. Moreover, renowned singers such as KS. Julia Varady and Nikolai Gedda had an important influence on his musical development.

While still studying, he became the opportunity to sing interesting parts such as Admetos in Gluck’s ‘Alceste’ (in Rheinsberg) and Bénedikt in Berlioz‘ ‘Béatrice et Bénedikt’ . Already as a student, he was engaged as soloist at the Comic Opera Berlin.

In 2005 the young tenor made his operatic debut as Don Ottavio at the Detmold City Theatre. In the same season, he also portrayed this very role at the Hannover State Opera and at the Basle Opera. From 2006 to 2011, Stefan Heibach was angaged at the Schwerin Theatre, where he interpreted such roles as TAMINO (Zauberflöte), DON OTTAVIO (Don Giovanni), CONTE ALMAVIVA (Barbiere di Siviglia), ROMÉO from Gounod’s (Roméo et Juliette), RINUCCIO (Gianni Schicchi) and Lyonel (Martha), ERIK (Der Fliegende Holländer) and FERRANDO (Cosifantutte) as well as numerous operetta roles.

Since 2007, Stefan Heibach is engaged at the Bayreuth Festival, singing the parts of Agustin Moser (Meistersinger) and the First Brabantian Noble (Lohengrin). At the Bayreuth Festival in 2008 he sang a Liederabend at the Wahnfried House .
Guest performances brough the good-looking tenor also as TAMINO to the Lower Saxon State Opera, to Hannover and as the BRABANTIAN NOBLE under the musical direction of Japp van Zweden to the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. At the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona he made his debut as NARRABOTH (Salome).

Stefan Heibach is also a internationally sought-after Lied and concert soloist. In 2005 he sang FAUST in Boito’s ‚Mefistotele’ in a concertante performance, Puccini’s ‘Messa di Gloria’ and 2006 at the Berlin Philharmonic Mendelssohn’s ‘First Walpurgis Night’ . He gave numerous concet and lieder evenings in Japan, St. Petersbourgh and Paris.

At the Oldeburg State Theatre Stefan Heibach lately sang TAMINO and RODOLFO, at the Schwerin State Theatre he was HANS in’The Bartered Bride’. In the season 15/16 he was LYONEL in ‚Martha’ at the Halle Opera House.

Since 2011 Stefan Heibach regularly sings the 1st NOBLE in ‘Lohengrin’, the 4th PAGE in ‘Parsifal’ and AUGUSTIN MOSER in ‘Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg’ at the Festival of Bayreuth. At the Bayreuth Festival 2011 he also portrayed LOGE and MIME in „The Ring for Children“. In 2012 he was the LOGE at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and had guest performances with the ensemble of the Bayreuth Festival at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona as NOBLEMAN in ‘Lohengrin’
Since 2013 the tenor also sings HEINRICH THE WRITER in Bayreuth and returned in all these roles to the Hill in 2016.

In 2016 he also sang ULRICH REISINGER in ‘Di Meistersinger’ at the Opéra de Paris and at the Munich State Opera.
In 2017 Heibach debutes as AUGUSTIN MOSER at the Scala di Milano.
