Jinxin CHEN Baritone
 
  BIOGRAPHY  

 

At the Teatro Barocco in Vienna the Chinese baritone sings in 2022 the MUSIC TEACHER in “Il Maestro di Cappella (Cimarosa)” and JARBAS in “Der Tod der Dido (Holzbauer)”.

In the season 2022/23 he can be seen at the Bratislava National Opera in numerous roles including MONTERONE in “Rigoletto”, ZUNIGA in “Carmen”, DR GRENVIL in “La Traviata”, SPEAKER in “Die Zauberflöte”.

Recently, the young artist succeeded as FIGARO in “Il barbiere di Siviglia” , CONTE ALMAVIVA in “Le nozze di Figaro”, MUSIC TEACHER in “Ariadne auf Naxos” and CONTE ROBINSON in “Il Matrimonio Segreto” at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn.
In 2021 he also portrayed DON GIOVANNI at the Vienna Concert House and at the Graz Music Association.

Chen completed his Bachelor in Singing at the Beijing Music Conservatory.
He made his master with a Scholarship from the Japanese Education Ministry at the University of Arts. Since 2018, he is completing his master studies at the University of Music and Art Performance in Vienna.

Jinxin already received numerous awards and prizes such as the 1st Prize of the Singing Competition LIED in China, the GOLD PRIZE of the Japanese Singing Contest of Italian Music, the EXCELLENT Prize of the International Madama Butterfly Singing Contest in Japan, the 2nd Prize of the Latvinian International Singing Competition, the Special Award of the Jury at the International Jozsef Simandy Competition in Szeged, Hungry. In 2020 he was awarded a Scholarship of the Anny Felbermayer Foundation in Austria and in 2021 he was finalist of the International Belvedere Competition .

He made his first stage experiences in China as DON ALFONSO in “Cosi fan tutte”, and GUGLIELMO in “Cosi fan tutte” in Japan.

On the concert field, he sang Händel’s JEPHTA, Mozart’s Requiem and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
