Since the season 2017/18 TIJANA GRUJIC is a member of the Bremerhaven Theatre ensemble, where she could be seen as GILDA in ‘Rigoletto’, PAMINA in ‘Die Zauberflöte’, ADINA in ‘Lelisire d’amore’ and FRAU LUNA. After her successful soprano debut as MARIE in Smetana’s ‘The Bartered Bride’ at the Nordhausen Theatre in the season 2015/16 she made her debut there as MARGUERITE in Gounod’s ‘Faust’. This title part, she also successfully performed at the Schwerin State Theatre in spring 2017.

She could be seen as MICAELA in ‘Carmen’ at the Sondershausen Castle Festival. In summer 2016 she was celebrated as PAMINA in ‘Die Zauberfflöte’ at the Immling Music Festival. In 2017 she sang New Year Concerts with the Philharmonic Orchestra Plauen-Zwickau.

Tijana Grujic began her singer carreer as a mezzo soprano. From 2004 until 2008 she was a member of the Linz Municipal Theatre, where she sang more than 15 roles including HÄNSEL, ROSINA, ORLOWSKY, SIEBEL, MERCEDES, OLGA, LA SPERANZA in ” L’Orfeo” and AGLAUNICE in Philip Glass’ highly-regarded production of “Orfée”. At the Bruckner Festival 2005 she sang the role of ROSSWEISSE (Walküre). Lately, she could also be seen here as DONNA ELVIRA, BRONISLAWA and the COMPOSER.

Tijana Grujic sang INES in ‘Il Trovatore’ under the musical direction of Marc Tadue at the Schenkenberg Opera. The artist had guest performances at the International Festival in Macau as the FIRST WITCH in Purcell’s ‘Dido and Aeneas’, at the Darmstadt State Theatre as SMERALDINA in ‘The Love For Three Oranges’ , as PAGE in ‘Salome’ and EDUIGE in Händel’s ‘Rodelinda’.

Further guest engagements brought Tijana Grujic to the Nuremburg State Theatre as ROSINA, to the Mainz State Theatre and to the Festival of the Rheinsberg Chamber Opera, where she portrayed SESTO in Graun’s ‘Cesare e Cleopatra’. As SECOND DAME Tijana Grujic participated in a France of the New European Festival. As TELEMACO in “Il Ritorno d’Ulisse’ in Patria” she could be seen under the musical direction of Andreas Spering and as STEFANO in Gounod’s ‘Roméo et Juliette’ she performed at the Munster City Theatre. She made her successful debut as CHERUBINO in “Nozze di Figaro” at the Chiemgau Festival. Afterwards, she debuted as CALLIPSO in Nicola Antonio Porporas’ “ Polifemo” at the Heidelberg Thetare under the musical direction of Wolfgang Katschner.

Tijana Grujic graduated with distinction at the J. Gutenberg University in Mainz with Prof. Claudia Eder and concluded her studies in 2009 with a concert exam.She was supported by the Rhineland-Palatinate Future Initiative (ZIRP), the Bertelsmann Foundation (New Voices), the Women’s Office (University of Mainz), the Richard Wagner Association (Wiesbaden) and Villa Musica (Mainz).

Tijana Grujic’s concert schedule includes Mahler’s ‚Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen’ with the Thuringian Symphony Orchestra, gala concerts with the State Philharmonic Orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate and performances at the Saarbrucken New Music Festival, broadcasted by the Saarland Radio. She sang Mozart’s Mass in c minor at the Darmstadt Residence Festival and the ‘Petit messe solonelle’ at the World Festival for Sacred Music in Berlin. On a Liederabend of the New York Society for Ethical Culture she interpreted songs from German-Jewish composers. Further concert engagements took her to Tel Aviv.
